On 9th June 2017, Jess Phillips was re-elected as MP for Birmingham Yardley with a majority of 16.574.
 
Jess Phillips MP said:
 
"We did it. We won and beat the Lib Dems and their nasty campaign in to third place. We achieved a 16,500 majority the biggest ever in the history of the constituency."
 
"I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves in this campaign. Over 200 people turned up to help in some way, some of you coming every day for weeks. We made 9000 contacts on the doors and the phones, delivered tens of thousands of leaflets and letters. Every cup of tea made, every penny raised very person spoken to meant that when the polls closed we had done all we could."
 
"In my victory speech I said that never was there a sign of disunity in our campaign, everyone was welcome and the sense of family in our office is something I will never ever forget."
