Yardley MP Jess Phillips, alongside other MPs from the West Midlands, is calling for increased Police funding to be announced in the upcoming Budget.
Jess and her colleagues met with the Police Minister Nick Hurd to discuss the upcoming budget and the need for increased Police funding.
Jess highlighted in the meeting that 2,000 Police Officers have been lost in the West Midlands since 2010 and that the West Midlands Police are dealing with more 999 calls than the Metropolitan Police.
Jess Phillips MP said:
"Our brave, hard-working Police Officers deserve to be paid for the work they do, and have the necessary funding to do their jobs properly."
"That's why I'm calling on the Government to announce an increase in Police funding in the upcoming Budget"
