Yardley MP Jess Phillips supports Yardley Great Trust in their new Uniform Project.

Yardley Great Trust, in partnership with Holy Cross Church in Billesley, has launched a new project to provide a place of help for those needing to obtain new school uniforms items, both throughout the Summer and ongoing during the year for those most in need.

Karen Grice, Clerk to the Trustees at Yardley Great Trust, said:

"To support the uniform project, we are asking for donations of unwanted uniform as the end of term approaches.  If schools are willing to accept any direct donations prior to the end of term, please contact us to arrange for items to be collected/dropped off before school closes. Otherwise items can be donated to the following:

  • Yardley Great Trust, Old Brookside, Stechford B33 8QL – Weekdays 9am-4pm
  • Narhex Project, in Sparkhill or Tyseley. Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9am-4pm
  • Holy Cross Church, Billesley, Tuesday or Wednesday 9am-12pm or Sunday at church service"

Jess Phillips MP said:

"I think this project will be a real life-saver to some local people, and I commend Yardley Great Trust and Holy Cross Church for setting up this project."

"I encourage all to have a root around at home to see if they have any unwanted uniform lying around."
